CCC #7 Tinted Vision Fragment

Here we are at week 7 already of this cool Compendium of Curiosities Challenge!   Where does the time go!

The photo is of my grandpa Wilfred who I never knew because he passed away before I was born.   It is really so unfortunate,  because we were so much alike in our love of the arts!   He was about 4 yrs old in this picture and I just loved him holding the flag and sporting the very stylish white fur coat and beret.

A happy accident colored the sepia flag in just the right spot to make it appear red white and blue!   I swear I didn't plan it.

I used a wood mount stamp from the dollar bin at the LCS,  idea ology star trinket, token, clip and jump ring.

The lace was from my stash along with the piece of old dictionary paper from my friend Ellen.   Was so excited that one page had the word star on it!   How perfect!   I love when things just fall into place creatively. :)

The red ribbon was also from my stash and distressed it with Black Soot and Vintage Photo Distress ink.
I used Black Soot, Faded Jeans, Fired Brick and Vintage Photo Distress inks to create the tag.
The script stamp on the tag is from Club Scrap's Collections kit.
The brown paper is also from Club Scrap.
Thanks for looking!

CCC #6 Multi Medium Collage

So the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge continues.
I used some tiny jewelry boxes from the craft store to recreate something like Tim's new Configurations shadow boxes.   I used some antique dictionary pages,  Idea ology products,  embellishments from Club Scrap.   The stamped quote is from Club Scrap UM Nature's Wonders.
The papers are a lime green from DCWV which I embossed with a Cuttlebug harlequin folder and sanded and inked with Distress in various colors.
And I used a Gears embossing folder (unsure of the brand) for the piece of Idea ology packaging that I sanded off to reveal the image.  Inked all the edges with Distress Vintage photo and some Peeled Paint.
Flower punch was a Martha Stuart.
stamp Flourish was a Studio G (I think)  all stamped in Archival Ink.

CCC #5! Distress Embossing Powder

Here is a creation using the Distress Embossing Powder.  I had a hard time finding a stamp that I thought did justice to this technique.  I think it really has to be a stamp with a lot of surface area to appreciate the Distressed Embossing look!
Dragon fly and Cat o Nine tails stamps  - Club Scrap Centennial Casual UM rubber set
Script stamp -  Club Scrap Collections Wood Mounted
Quote stamp - Club Scrap Castaway UM
I used dictionary paper on the background which was embossed chipboard.  Then I sanded off the raised areas.  Inked with Distress Vintage Photo.
The stamped images on the tag are Archival ink and Ranger Emboss It clear Ink and Distress Black embossing powder.
The Flower is made with a punch from Martha Stewart.

Just a little something I have been working on..

I made this video showing the Mini Album Turn Table in action.  It was inspired by this cool project from Club Scrap called the Photo Twist About.  You can check it out HERE!
I was so intrigued by this cool project that my brain started spinning (ha ha no pun intended) with ideas on how to use the little turn table ball bearing mechanism used in the project!    So I thought of a design using simple materials.  I used black matte board and papers to embellish!   So fun!
Papers- Club Scrap Design classics, Memoirs and Bridges
Stamps- Club Scrap
Flowers- die cuts from Sizzix

PSL officially begins today!

So over at Club Scrap we have our Summer Camp starting up!   The Pro Scrapbooker's league is such a fun way to make new friends,  create tons of layouts to add to our albums and even earn prizes and discounts each week from CS!!   How fun is that!

I will be sure to post some of my completed layouts from each weeks challenges.    This week is the Stamping Challenge.  We must use our Club Scrap stamps on our layouts for points.   If we meet the challenge requirement our layout is worth 2 pts , which we post to our teams gallery.   If we don't that's okay too, because we can submit it to our teams 1 pt gallery.

Can't wait to get started.  Here on the Cape it is so hot!   Great day for staying in the AC and crafting!

GO TEAM WALLEYES!!  WOO HOO!

Shannon came down last night and this afternoon to work on some projects.   Here is a little look at her creative process and some thoughts (unrehearsed, of course!!)

It has been way too long...

So sorry I have not posted in such a long time.
Today I was inspired by a fellow blogger,  Laura,  who makes awesome technique videos using some live feeds,  and has a totally cool BLOG!   Please check her out!   So fun!   And her ideas are so unique!  Love them!

I emailed Laura,  and she gave me permission to show you my version of the Sunburst Mini Album she designed!   So cool,  check out her video HERE!

I used Club Scrap Design Classics papers from Fossils and Textiles and Notions.
The pages form these cool pockets that you can use to put some tags in.  Very cool idea,  thanks Laura!
