About 10 yrs ago I got my first die cut machine from my mom and dad for Mother's day.  It was a Sizzix Sidekick (which I have now handed down to my niece Meg) and it was fun to die cut all sorts of shapes from my cardstock stash.   Well years later,  I hardly ever touch these dies and have moved on to more sophisticated cutting tools (Silhouette SD) which can cut all sorts of shapes, sizes, fonts and several thicknesses of papers.

All this to say,  one of my fellow Club Scrappers presented us with a challenge on the Coffeehouse forum. Use an old unloved die to create some art with our Club Scrap papers and other supplies.   So I pulled out an old decorative strip die and made this fun card.   I inked a white piece of paper to create the sunset sky and voila!   Paradise!

Distress inks by Ranger - Fired Brick, Ripe Persimmon, Dusty Concord, Faded Jeans, and Broken China
Paper - black and white cardstock, Club Scrap green from Blossom kit, brown from Sparkle Kit and yellow from Solstice Kit.
Black India ink and quote stamp are both Club Scrap.

What die cut dies do you wish you could dig out and try again?

I have some flowers and other fun shapes that need some love.

I love getting your comments and thoughts when you stop by, thanks :)

I have an original Sizzix die of some labels that I really should try out, maybe to make my own Smash Book?
