Club Scrap Creative License Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Club Scrap May Blog Hop featuring the Creative License kit. If you have arrived from the super creative Roni's Inkstains Blog then you are in the right place. If not, hop back to Karen's post at the Club Scrap Blog to see a complete list of all the talented bloggers.

I have to admit that this past month has been somewhat of a blur. My son Jason graduated college last weekend and we are just so proud of him. He has returned home, along with my daughter Alicia, who just finished her freshman year of college. The weather has been absolutely beautiful here on Cape Cod, and as a result, the gardening bug bit me big time. As a result of all this, my blog hop project was put off until yesterday. Bad Julie ;) I really don't like waiting until the last minute to do my projects. Luckily, this month's Creative License Deluxe kit came with a FANTASTIC goodie, the On the Go Album.

I simply followed along with Tricia's VIDEO demo, and it came together in less than an hour.

My album is ready to feature some select photos from Jason's four years at Framingham State University.

Embellish this album with these fun little shrink plastic license plates featuring images from the Creative License Jumbo UM Rubber stamp set.

Stamp the blank license plate onto shrink plastic with Onyx ink. Add color directly onto the stamp  with coordinating colors of Sharpie permanent markers.

Add more color to the image if needed.

Align letters using the grid lines on an acrylic stamping block.

Stamp onto the license plate image with Onyx ink.

Fussy cut images from the shrink plastic.

Punch out the holes using a Crop a Dile tool.

Heat the plastic to shrink. While the license plate is still warm, press with an acrylic block to flatten.

Attach to the front cover and it is ready for gift giving!

Next up on the hop, Anne Marie at Artfully Balanced!

  4. What a fantastic cover on a great book, Julie! As always, love it. But I think you need to make a storage box for it from an upcycled empty pizza box. Because I feel sort of empty. LOL.
