Welcome to the Club Scrap August Blog Hop featuring the Sunflowers kit. If you have arrived from the super creative Roni's Inkstains Blog then you are in the right place. If not, hop back to Karen's post at the Club Scrap Blog to see a complete list of all the talented bloggers.

Combine the art of ribbon embroidery with paper crafting for stunning results! Scroll down to the bottom of this post for details.

Next up on the hop is Anne Marie's Artfully Balanced Blog.

**********************************

Stamp the Sunflowers Jumbo UM Collage onto mixed media art paper with CS Earth Hybrid Ink.

Pierce holes through the paper at the top and base of each petal.

Thread the Sunflowers Fiber Pack sheer multi color ribbon onto a blunt tapestry needle.

Carefully stitch each petal with the pierced holes as the guide.

Pierce a large hole into center of flower.

Insert dual color twine fiber into the hole. Wrap the end with clear tape to assist in threading the hole.

Wind the twine into a circle and secure with hot glue.

Make a leaf shape with the wide green satin ribbon. Check out this video for more details.

Stitch the leaf into the paper with thread. Secure onto the back of the paper with a knot.

Cut smaller leaf shapes from the satin ribbon with scissors. To prevent fraying, melt the edges with a lighter.

Insert the leaf stems into pierced holes near the main flower stem under the large leaf. Secure the ends on the back of the paper with clear tape.

Add a small dab of Bookbinding Glue to the tip ends of both leaves and attach to the paper.

Cut a stem shape from the satin ribbon, melt the edges to prevent fraying, and attach into the paper with the same technique for attaching the small leaves.

Finish the panel with a stippling of Earth ink to distress the paper.

Layer with Foil Copper Embossed Art Nouveau UM check pattern on a Brown panel and a Sunflowers Deluxe 8.5x11" print.

Attach to the front of a manila mailer envelope mini album.  Visit this LINK for detailed instructions for creating this album.

Complete the mini album with Big Top adhesive pearls, Sunflowers Washi Tape and additional dual colored twine.

Adhere Sunflowers Deluxe paper photo mats to each page of the envelope mini.

Thanks so much for visiting and see you next month!
