Club Scrap Paradise Blog Hop

Welcome to the Club Scrap November Blog Hop featuring the Paradise Kit. If you have arrived from the super creative Roni's Inkstained Blog then you are in the right place. If not, hop back to Karen's post at the Club Scrap Blog to see a complete list of all the talented bloggers.

Paradise Deluxe Kit
I created this Clipboard Collage Project for my daughter Alicia. She took this photo of her boyfriend at the beach and we chose it to be the focal image on the collage. Be sure to visit the Club Scrap blog for details about this fun Retreat 2016 workshop.

Trim papers from the Paradise Deluxe kit to the sizes indicated on the collage print. There are several clipboard collage prints available in the Club Scrap store, so you can create your own using version featuring items from your stash.

Add the Paradise quote from the digital kit directly to the photo before printing.

Create a sheet of cut aparts from the digital kit and print onto sticker paper.

Emboss some of the plain paper panels and attach to the project. The Pink Duplex paper is embossed with Cuttlebug Swirls folder and the Citron Duplex paper is embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.

Die cut hologram duct tape with "happy" from the Sizzix Celebration Script words set.

Cover the wooden paddles with Paradise, 50s Kitchen and Dahlia Washi Tapes.

Fussy cut digital images from sticker paper and add to the project along with lots of other fun embellishments from your stash.

Thanks for stopping by!

Club Scrap Christmas Thyme Blog Hop

Welcome to the Club Scrap Christmas Thyme Blog Hop featuring the Christmas Thyme special edition collection. If you arrived from Tricia's Efficient Crafter Blog then you are in the right place. If not, visit Karen's post at the Club Scrap Blog for the full list of participants.

I created several projects for the hop. I used elements from both the Christmas Thyme Digital Kit and the Christmas Thyme Stamper's Kit.

Tea-lighted House:

Stamp the house image onto Manila paper. Color the image with pencils and white gesso.
Fussy cut the image with scissors.
Cover the gesso snow with Rock Candy Distress Stickles.
Trim out the windows and door with a craft knife. Leave the door attached at the hinge.
Stamp the home image again onto white tissue paper.
Attach the fussy cut house to the front of a 2.5" square box created from a Club Scrap pizza box.
Note: Cut out the windows and the door holes with a craft knife from the front of the box prior to assembly.
Glue the tissue paper to the front interior wall of the box.
Line the box with Gold paper. Cover the outside of the box with Manila paper with Bookbinding Glue.
IMPORTANT!- Do not use real flame candles with paper projects. I used a battery operated tea-light.

Scrapbook Pages:

Sketch from Ivory Elegance idea recipe card.

Two 12x12" background papers, Citron and Olive, from Club Scrap Garden Shed Deluxe Kit.
Two 8.5x11" trimmed papers, Ivory Berries and Rust, from Christmas Thyme Stamper's Kit.
Print tags and embellishments onto Manila paper from Christmas Thyme Digital Kit.

Title "Merry Christmas" stamped with Earth Hybrid ink onto Manila panel tied with gold ribbon.

Christmas Cards:

Print the Berry background onto 8.5x11" white paper from the Christmas Thyme Digital Kit.
Note: This print didn't come out as vibrant as I hoped, so I colored in some of the leaves and berries with coordinating markers. It really added the perfect punch of color.

Attach Manila 3.5x4.75" panels stamped with the house and sentiment images.
Note: Ink the house stamp with Sandstone Hybrid ink. Prior to stamping the image, color over the wreath and window boxes with the coordinating red and green markers.
Add embellishments to complete the cards. The flowers were from the Club Scrap Retreat 2010.

Thanks so much for joining me on my part of the hop!

Paradise Layouts

I created this layout with photos from our family vacation to Arizona this past Spring.

Here's the scoop:

I am lucky enough, through my association with Club Scrap, to have met some amazing people. Dayna and I became friends in the online forum in 2008 and later met for the first time in person at a Club Scrap Retreat in 2011. What a thrill! During this time, our youngest daughters became pen pals and even "video chatted" a few times.

Dayna and I had not seen one another (in real life) since meeting that first time in 2011. She does not live very far from my in laws, so we decided to get together while we were in town. Dayna brought her daughter Emma with her to meet Shannon! They got along great and played all day together in the pool.

Dayna and I were able to sneak off to surprise her oldest daughter Vivian while she was at work. Such fun to finally get to meet two of her kids.

The layout design was created following the instructions on the Assembly Line Scrapbooking Vol. 1 Idea Deck Six of Clubs for the challenge on the Club Scrap Forum.
