More PSL layouts and cards

So this week is the Stamping challenge and I had fun with a variety of wood mounted and unmounted stamps from Club Scrap.
When I first joined the club,  I really didn't have a clue about stamping but now I have been learning new techniques from Club Scrap and its super talented members and I am loving it!
So here are some cards and layouts using a variety of kits stamps.

Thanks for checking them out.

Which do you prefer,  Card Making or Scrapbooking.

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to give a big shout out of Thanks to Deb who organized the Blog Hop on Valentine's Day!
It was so much fun to share with everyone the love we feel for Club Scrap.   Stay tuned because we are going to do it again really soon!    FUN STUFF!

Scroll down a bit if you are just joining me for the Hop!

Thanks to all of you who left me some really sweet comments!!     Those really mean so much to a blogger. :)

So to change the subject slightly,  we are in the midst of some serious scrapping and card making over at Club Scrap with our bi annual Pro Scrapbookers League!     We compete on teams to create the most layouts / cards for our respective teams with really cool weekly challenges.   The best part is,  CS® rewards the winning teams with prizes and all participants each week receive discounts for shopping no matter if you are on a winning team or not!   How fun is that?!
This week's challenge is Art Medium so I played around with a ton of acrylic paint techniques to create background papers to use in my layouts and cards!   Fun,  and you really feel like a kid again!   Let's just say messy is an understatement!  LOL!

Here are some of the papers I created using bubbles, bubble wrap and a technique I learned from Michael Strong at Club Scrap's Annual Retreat in WI last October!

Thanks for stopping by!

Club Scrap "Share the Love" Blog Hop

Happy Valentine's Day and WELCOME to the first ever Club Scrap Member Blog Hop!
We are so happy to share our love of this scrapbooking kit of the month club.   We can tell you the we really feel like a family and everyone at Club Scrap HQ makes you feel the same way!

I have been a monthly kit member since joining in January 2008 with the Study in Red kit.   And when my 3 month membership was up there was no way I was going to give it up.   So many beautiful and exciting kits each month.   What a pleasure it has been to be a member for all of these years.

So with out further ado,  I would like to share a couple of things I prepared especially for today's hop!
Using the Gratitude Kit from April 2010 I have created paper quilt blocks.   The first project is a wall hanging in the Bear Claw Block style.
I also used an unmounted rubber swirl stamp from the Be Wonderful collection to add pattern to the brown squares and used Club Scrap's Ruby Hybrid ink.

I also decided to created 2 cards with the remaining squares.   They are in the Star Four Square style.
The embellishment on the first card is a dragonfly from the Gratitude kit and the button is vintage from my stash.   In the cards as well as the wall hanging,  I used Tim Holtz Sizzix Texturz fades folders to emboss the solid card stocks.  (Brick, Brocade, and Flourish)

The idea for these cards came from a project done on Split Coast Stampers!

Please hop on over to Connie's Blog!

Pro Scrapbooker's League Card!

So I joined a card team as well as a scrapping team in this season's PSL at Club Scrap.
What a fun way to create cards for future us!   This week it was the stencil challenge!
This card uses CS® papers from Salsa and Surf's Up  and a cool stencil from a kit called Bugs Remix!
Love the dragonfly and how delicate it looks.

Thanks for stopping by!

Valentines Day!

So today I had the pleasure of going in to my daughter Shannon's kindergarten class to read a story and do a project!   It was so much fun to see the kids create these fabulous cards inspired by one of my favorite people Michael Strong.    I was lucky enough to go to Club Scrap's Annual Retreat in WI this past October and Mike was a guest instructor and taught an awesome card workshop that used this acrylic painting technique.

Here is the card that I made to show the kids a sample of how the card should look.   Of course,  being kids they have their own creativity and they went to town creating their own original works of art for their Valentine's cards.

And here is the card that Shannon made!

It made me so happy when the kids came up to me after we were finished saying how much fun they had making the card.     Thanks to Mrs.  Phinney's class for being so wonderfully creative and welcoming!

Paper Dress

Okay so this isn't a full size dress made of paper like these fabulous ones someone shared with me from CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) convention in LA this week presented by DCWV but it is my version on a mini scale.   I used all the left over bits and pieces from Club Scrap's December kit called Vogue!
I used a Martha Stewart and EK success punch for the flowers.
