If you arrived from Shona's Blog then you are in the right place, if not, head over to Karen's post at the Club Scrap Blog to see a complete list of participating bloggers.
This month, I was inspired by Terri Zwicker's Chest of Drawers project from Club Scrap's Retreat 2014. In this workshop we learned a fun and easy new way to cover our book board projects. This cleverly constructed item is still available for purchase in the shop so don't hesitate to pick one up for yourself.
Without further ado, here is my project, a Lidded Card Box perfect for holding up to ten A2 cards with envelopes.
Reunion Red paper, Sapphire inked book board edges, and Constellations silver yarn fiber with Navy and White print die cut stars embellish the front of the box.
Die cut stars detail.
The base of the box is approximately 4.75x6" and 2" deep. The lid is 4.75x 6.25" with sides that are 1" deep. There is a .25" gutter along the hinge between the book board lid and side of the box which is masked with the yarn embellishment.
A simple Red paper hinge attaches the lid to the base box.
Constellations White print and Navy papers line the inside of the box base.
I created two die cut star cards that compliment the box quite nicely.
I purchased a set of star dies and really loved working with them in conjunction with the Constellations kit.
Constellations Black and White papers, sentiment stamp and Dazzles Silver Stickers.
Patterned Basics print text weight paper panel.
Constellations Black die cut then embossed border strip, Expressions sentiment stamp, Sonoma Dark Purple card base, and Galaxy Resist technique panel. Cuttlebug embossed panel embellished with silver glitter glue.
Hope you enjoyed my project!
