Welcome to the Club Scrap Blog Hop featuring May's The Blues Collection. If you have arrived from Kay's Blog then you are in the right spot, if not head back to the beginning to check out Karen's post on the Club Scrap Blog. There you will find a complete list of blogs participating in today's hop.

I played along with the May Artist Challenge and followed the cutting instructions to create this layout.

I chose papers from The Blues collection along with a bright red 12x12 paper from the May 2013 Cape Cod collection. On the left page, I filled up some of the open space along the edge of the vertical border strip with the notes flourish from the The Blues Greetings UM.

On the right page, I stamped a portion of the Borders and Backgrounds UM quote on the journal block and added a small piece of the laser cut musical note fiber included as a goodie in the Deluxe Kit.

Memorial Day weekend kicks off the unofficial start of summer and my family and I head off to visit family at the cottage on Gurnet Point in Plymouth, MA.

Gurnet Point Light, a beautiful flag flies over the former Coast Guard station turned into a B&B and the view down Duxbury Beach.

It was a windy but glorious blue sky day. Perfect for taking photos of the lighthouses and my youngest Shannon climbing the hill where the the former twin lights used to stand on the point.

Gurnet Point Lighthouse (aka Plymouth Light) and Bug Light in Plymouth Harbor in the distance.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Mother's Day Boutonnieres

I made nine of these small pin backed boutonnieres for a donation to a local homeless shelter.

A local Facebook group organized donations to be made into baskets for the nine mothers who are at the shelter.

I hope they all are made to feel special this weekend despite their current situations.

Club Scrap papers (Dream in Color) and sentiment stamp (Blossom), Spellbinders small scalloped circle background. Pale pink paper from stash. Tim Holtz Pine cone die rose and leaves, and Fiskars flower punch.

Thanks to my friend Kerri A. for taking a photo of the pin as I had forgotten. :)
