Club Scrap Vintage Botany Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Club Scrap July Blog Hop featuring the Vintage Botany kit. If you have arrived from Tina's Finding Your Niche Blog then you are in the right place. If not, hop back to Karen's post at the Club Scrap Blog to see a complete list of all the talented bloggers.

This month I chose to re-create Tricia's Graffi-TEA dispenser project from January 2014. Be sure to visit her blog for detailed instructions.

Scroll to the bottom of this post to see more details and tips on how I created this project.

Up next on the hop is Roni at her Inkstains Blog

Vintage Botan-TEA Dispenser

Gather Purple, Brown, and Lite Ivory Print papers from the Vintage Botany collection. Follow Tricia's efficient instructions to create the project. Trim panels to nest and decorate the outside of the dispenser and lid.

Create depth with Club Scrap Earth Hybrid Ink applied to the edges of the Ivory Print panels, lid, and base of the dispenser.

Tip: Be sure to adhere all of the nesting panels to the outside of the dispenser before attaching to the base.

Tip: Adhere smaller elements, like these 1/2" wide Purple Lid panels, with Club Scrap Bookbinding Glue in a Needle-tipped Applicator.

Tip: Find the center of the lid with the zero center on a Club Scrap Acrylic ruler to ensure proper placement of the Idea-ology Curio Knob.

Let's take another look at the finished project.

Thanks again for stopping by and don't forget about all the amazing past blog hop projects that continue to inspire!

July Idea Deck Challenge - Club Scrap

For the July Idea Deck Challenge over on the Club Scrap Forum, hostess Pam Butler chose the 5 of Clubs.

I chose to work with the card from the Assembly Line Scrapbooking Deck Volume 1.

Here is the double page spread I created with the January 2017 Color Me Happy kit.

On June 6, 2016, the Mayflower II, a replica of the original vessel which brought the Pilgrims to America in 1620, was towed back to its summer home in Plymouth, MA. My parents were visiting from Florida and Alicia and I asked them if they would join us for a walk to see it on its way home.

This would be the last time, for a long while, we will see the Mayflower, as it is scheduled for a major restoration project to prepare it for Plymouth's 400th Anniversary in 2020.
